How to Wash Your Makeup Brushes
Who would we be without our makeup brushes? Because of this, it鈥檚 important to keep them clean to prevent bacteria and buildup. Cleaning your brushes on a regular basis will also help to extend their life. We know it鈥檚 important to take care of our makeup brushes, but, you may be asking, what is the best way to wash them at home?
Rinse with Warm Water | The first step to cleaning your makeup brushes is to gently rinse them with warm water. This will aid in removing any lingering makeup before you break out the soap.
Utilize a Brush Cleanser or Soap | If you don鈥檛 have a brush cleanser on hand, no worries! You can try using a gentle soap in its place. Just make sure you鈥檙e not using regular soap as it can try out the bristles. Baby shampoo is a great alternative in this situation as it won鈥檛 irritate your skin or your brush鈥檚 bristles.
Scrub | Once you鈥檝e found your cleanser or soap, begin to scrub the brush to ensure you鈥檙e removing any additional buildup. Try to avoid the base of the brush as this can cause the glue to come loose over time.
Dry | Once you鈥檝e completed the above steps, you鈥檒l want to restyle your brush as scrubbing can alter its shape. Don鈥檛 leave your brush on a towel to dry as this can cause bacteria to grow. It鈥檚 better to let the brush head hang off the side of the counter to make sure it dries properly.
Washing your brushes will not only extend their life but also help keep your skin clear. Do you have any brush cleaning tips you鈥檇 like to share with us at Robert Fiance? Let us know in the comments below. If you鈥檙e ready to turn your beauty dreams into a career, call us today!
