A change in the season means a change for your hair, right? With fall around the corner, you can easily freshen up your look by updating your color. Picking a new look can be tough, which is why we want to give you some hair inspiration with our favorite fall hair color trends.

  1. Dirty Brunette | You’ve heard of dirty blonde, but have you heard of dirty brunette? If you’re looking for a natural look that incorporates dark and light tones, this is the color for you. This look is achieved by mixing dark blonde pieces with a more neutral dark base. This color is not cool, not warm, but a perfect combination of both.
  2. Faded Pastel | Pastel is back, and it’s being done right with a wash of color rather than a saturated pastel. It is much less of a commitment and looks subtle on the hair. The only downside to this look is, when transitioning from a dark color to a pastel, bleaching your hair is necessary. Remember to properly care for your hair any time you decide to work with bleach.
  3. Living Coral | This color can be done so many different ways, however, the results vary. On blonde or light brown hair, this color turns strands a light peach. This peachy hue has the ability to brighten up your whole face and complexion if done correctly.
  4. Dark Blonde | This shade is super low maintenance, pretty, and a fantastic way to transition your blonde hue into a different season. This color is very flattering with many ways to execute on based on your start color and what you are trying to achieve.
  5. Blackberry | This color has been loved in the past and is having a comeback. This color includes beautiful purple shades, but it also has a little blue to add dimension. This color is great for someone who already has dark hair and wants to incorporate some color.

We hope that you try one of these out on your own hair this fall!

Growing out your hair can be tough. For some people it’s nearly impossible, which is why we want to give you 4 tips on how you can naturally add growth to your hair.

  1. Frequent Trims | It may sound counter-productive, why cut your hair off when you’re trying to grow it out, but eliminating split ends helps give the appearance that your hair is growing faster.
  2. Lay Off the Bleach | This one is important. when you lighten your hair, it can be damaged if you use bleach. Bleaching your hair can lead to increased breakage and split ends. When trying to grow your hair, it is important to stay away things that are known to cause damage and breakage to your hair.
  3. Avoid Heat | Over-styling your hair can really cause breakage. If it is a necessity that you to use a heating tool, we recommend using a heat protectant spray. One of our favorites is the Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Protectant Spray. Another way to help your hair grow is to decrease the temperature of the tool and to not keep the heat in one place for too long.
  4. Skip Shampooing | Shampooing your hair three times a week rather than every day is more beneficial to your hair than you can imagine. Shampooing your hair three times a week allows the natural oils in your scalp to incorporate into your hair, giving it the opportunity to repair and hydrate itself.

Healthy hair is important. When your hair is healthy it is also growing. If you are trying to grow out your hair, or if you just want your hair to look healthier, give one of these tips a try!

Oh, how we love summer! Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay forever (unless you’re a student at our South Florida campus). Fall is around the corner, but we still should enjoy the moments we have left in the sun, which is why we want to talk about our favorite summer hairstyles of 2019.

  1. The Lob | The long bob become popular in the 90’s and is now back in full force in 2019. This is a sleek, trendy look that can be easily be thrown up into a ponytail or kept down. Being short enough to keep you cool while also long enough for beach waves, it’s the perfect summer cut to incorporate into your life.
  2. Barrettes | You probably remember playing with these as a teen but, to our excitement, the barrette is back. This clip is not only becoming increasingly stylish, but it is also super functional. These can be used to pin your hair back or elevate a side look. You can even create a more dramatic look by adding and stacking.
  3. The High Pony | A timeless style, the high pony can be dressed up or dressed down. The hotter it is outside, the more and more thankful you’ll be for a head topping pony. If you prefer your hair down, you could substitute your high pony for a half up half down option, this will help keep you cool by keeping the hair off your face.
  4. The Braid | This hairstyle is perfect because it not only keeps your hair away from your face, it keeps it contained. It gets humid through the summer, so a braid is the perfect way to keep your hair neat and tamed. There are so many different ways that your hair can be braided so this is a versatile technique that allows you to do so much with your hair.

All of these looks are great for not only the summer months but are trends that you can follow year-round. Let us know what you think of these summer styles and if you’ve given them a try!

There’s nothing better than a sporting a new look before heading back to school. With so many different cuts and colors to choose from, though, it can be tough to decide what look you want to try first. Here are our 4 favorite cuts for you to consider before heading back to class.

  1. Long Layers | This is a great option if you have long hair and you are looking to clean it up. Layers in your hair help fill out your hair, especially if you suffer from thin hair.
  2. Choppy Lob | We are loving the lob (long bob) this season. It is cute, flirty, and super functional. It is also the perfect length if you’re looking to grow it out during the winter months.
  3. Face Framing Layers | This is super flattering and perfect for any hair type. It’s also great if you are not looking for a major change to your hair, just a little touch up. This will give your hair a facelift by creating layers closer to the face to compliment your facial structure.
  4. The Crop | The perfect style if you really want to switch it up. This hairstyle requires very little hair and can be styled in many different ways. The only downside about this is that it can’t be thrown into a quick ponytail or bun. This look is super low maintenance, though, so it’s great for those of us who are always on the go.

Everything around us evolves and changes, including the beauty industry. Trends will always come and go, but, what we really mean is, how is this industry in particular handing the constant changes in this new, digital world.

Without a social media presence, what is a beauty brand in this day and age? Having the ability to reach out and respond to a customer instantaneously, getting feedback on ideas and products, interacting with them on a daily basis, is the reason beauty brands are able to continue giving their customer base exactly what they want, when they want it. Rather than major brands dominating the industry, we’ve seen smaller, independent brands be able to make a name for themselves because of social media. The beauty industry is adapting to what user’s need rather just creating products they believe will sell.

Over the years, the beauty industry has become increasingly more inclusive. We are seeing new shades of makeup directed towards all skin tones and types. We’ve also seen that the quality of ingredients being used improve. Where companies used to fill their products with chemicals and fillers, most brands are more conscientious of what they are providing to their base.

For 91µÎµÎ, we are excited about this new evolution in the industry and we can’t wait to see where it goes from here. How do you feel about where we are headed? Let us know in the comments section below!

It’s safe to say we all agree that our eyelashes are one of the most important parts of our beauty routine. We do everything we can to make them look longer and fuller before we leave the house, but the easiest way to have the lashes we all crave is to ensure we are taking every caution to keep them healthy to begin with.

Here are 4 tips for longer lashes:

  • Try a Conditioning Primer | Do you have a mascara primer in your beauty drawer? Lash primers are an easy way to get length and volume from your lashes. You’ll notice that it helps to separate your lashes prior to applying your mascara. If you’re looking for a more natural look or you just want to give mascara a break, try a tinted lash primer.
  • Stay Away from Waterproof Mascara | Waterproof mascara tends to dry out your lashes. Because of this, it’s important to use it for special occasions only. If you must use a waterproof mascara, look for one with olive or avocado oils in the ingredients.
  • Change Up Your Diet | If you’re struggling with breakage or thin lashes, try adding more iron to your diet. Foods rich in B7, A, and C vitamins can help promote hair growth, which includes your lashes.
  • Remove Your Makeup Before Bed | Honestly, this is one of the easiest ways to care for your lashes. We know, the last thing you want to do after a long day is scrub at your mascara but it’s important to remove all of your mascara to prevent lash fallout.

If you have any additional tips or tricks for longer, healthier lashes, leave us a comment below! We’d love to hear about your beauty routine and what works for you.

Summer has officially arrived, so why not rock a new chop to go with the warmer weather that is rolling in? Whether you want to keep it long or cut it short, we have plenty of ideas for this new season that you’re sure to love! Here is a list of our favorite haircuts for summer 2019.

Wispy Bangs | Oh, how we love this look! Wispy bangs are one of the easiest ways to give yourself a quick makeover that is sure to turn heads. This style creates a frame around the face with full of different lengths. Not only are these bangs effortless, but they also look great with both long and short hair.

Long Pixie | If you’re not ready to take the full plunge into the original pixie cut, give a long pixie a try first. Ask your stylist to keep length at the nape of your neck as well as giving this chop some texture. This is an easy cut for those who are looking for a low-maintenance style.

Three-Dimensional Bob | Looking to grow your hair back out after a steep chop? Try the three-dimensional bob. All you need is a little texture and waves for this style to work.

Blunt Bob | The blunt bob is one of the most sought-after modern looks this year. You can keep this look straight or wavy, and one of our favorite parts about this style is that it’s quick to air dry if you’re in a rush or not looking to add heat to your hair.

Collarbone Lob | The collarbone lob is for everyone, which is the best thing about this haircut. You’ll want to keep the ends blunt and stay away from the layers with this style.

What are you dying to try with your hair this summer? Let us know in the comments below. If you’re interested in 91µÎµÎ, call us today to speak with one of our admissions specialists! We’d love to have you with us this summer.

Whether you want to add length or a little extra volume, extensions are a great way to give your hair that boost you’ve always wanted. Before you decide to finally take the leap, it’s important to understand the different types of extensions as well as which ones are best for you and your hair. At Robert Fiance, we hope to provide you with the information you need to be able to make your decision.

If you’re confident you know what extensions you’d like to try, the next step will be to find a reputable salon and stylist to help you along on your new hair journey. You’ll want to make sure you’re happy with the look and feel of your extensions. Synthetic extensions are going to be stiff compared to human hair, and they have been known to not blend as well in your natural hair. If possible, try to get human hair extensions to blend more naturally with your hair.

Once you’ve decided on real vs. synthetic, the next step is to determine the type of extensions that are right for you. There are many different types of extensions, but the most popular are listed below:

  1. Clip-In Extensions | Clip-in extensions are great for those who may not be ready to jump into permanent extensions. These temporary and reusable extensions are simple enough to apply yourself at home.
  2. Tape-In Extensions | Tape extensions are pre-taped and then taped together on either side of each section of hair. These extensions will need to be applied by a stylist as a heated tool will need to be used on the glue.
  3. Sew-In Extensions | These extensions are some of the most popular around as they are permanent as well as seamless. However, these will need to be applied by an experienced stylist as they need to be sewn into your hair and must be changed every four months so as not to mess with your natural hair growth.

We hope we’ve provided you with enough information to make an educated decision on what extensions would be best for you and your hair. For more information, reach out to a Robert Fiance stylist near you to learn how we can be a part of your hair journey.

Trying to find the perfect shampoo can be a serious struggle. When it comes to our hair, there is no one-size-fits-all, and, with the countless brands and products available online and in stores, it can be overwhelming to find one that works for you. So, how do you find the best product for you?

When deciding on your shampoo, there are two questions you want to ask yourself:

  1. What are my hair goals?
  2. What ingredients and chemicals are in the product?

The truth is that not all shampoos are formulated the same way, and they most certainly aren’t universal for every hair type. Robert Fiance is here to untangle the mess in shampoo purchasing. Here are our favorite shampoos for each hair type:

Thick & Curly/Wavy Hair | We all dream of having thick, luscious hair but rarely think about the extra care and time it takes to treat it. Lookout for products that incorporate rich and natural oils such as coconut oil, argan oil, or shea butter to keep hair smooth and manageable. Proteins also takes care of any damaged curls or waves.

Thin/Thinning Hair | When finding the right shampoo for thin or thinning hair, it’s best to find a product with natural ingredients that thicken and stimulate hair growth. Stay away from chemical heavy products that can be harmful to your scalp and hair follicles over time. The main goal should be to treat your hair while increasing its volume. Here are our favorites shampoos for thin or thinning hair:

Oily & Greasy Hair | Dealing with oily and/or greasy hair? We know the struggle. Did you know that excessively washing your hair actually strips the natural oils from your scalp, causing it to produce more oil? The daily trials and tribulations of oily & greasy hair can seem impossible to combat, but these go-to shampoos make an absolute world of a difference. Below are our favorite shampoos for those oily roots.

Robert Fiance knows a thing or two when it comes to hair care. Keep your locks looking their best and check out the rest of our blog for more amazing beauty tips and industry news.
